Forensic/ Medico-legal evaluations
Forensic evaluations provide independent, expert opinions through a comprehensive assessment of cognitive, emotional and personality functioning to inform legal decisions.
Cantonese and Mandarin evaluations are available.
Why get a Forensic Neuropsychological Evaluation?
-
Forensic or Medico-legal neuropsychological evaluations help determine the extent and severity of cognitive, behavioral and emotional problems, their probable cause(s), and how they are expected to impact one's daily life activities (e.g. relationship, vocational and social areas). Individual's effort, response biases and validity of the symptoms are also documented using empirically-validated tests and assessment methods.
-
I conduct different types of forensic evaluations:
-
Independent Medical Examinations
-
Civil Personal Injury Cases (E.g., Are neuropsychological impairments due to an injury or traumatic event?)
-
Capacity Evaluations (E.g., Can the person retain capacity to make medical and financial decisions?)
-
-
I offer forensic evaluations in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) as well.
